Founded in 2021 by Emre Ayvaz and İlkay Baliç, Mümkün is an Istanbul-based creative agency operating in the fields of communication, content and publishing.

Focusing on the fields of culture and arts, and civil society, Mümkün designs projects for various media according to the needs of individuals and organisations, establishes collaborations and carries out project processes.

Mümkün also provides consultancy, research and content development services at the intersection of sustainability, inclusion and language, seeking creative ways to address today’s pressing social and cultural issues.

Emre Ayvaz

After completing his BA in Political Science (Boğaziçi University) and MA in Sociology (Boğaziçi University), he worked as an editor and translator for various arts and culture institutions and projects, and also as a freelance writer. Between 2017 and 2020, he worked as an editor at Koç University Publications, and between 2018 and 2021, he worked as a consultant for the “Istanbul Encyclopedia Archive” project, which was realized in cooperation with SALT and Kadir Has University.

He is currently working as an independent writer, editor and publisher under the umbrella of Mümkün.

İlkay Baliç

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (YTÜ) and master’s degree in Sociology (Boğaziçi University), she completed the NGO Management Program at Istanbul Bilgi University. She worked as an editor, programmer and manager for various cultural and creative institutions or projects. From 2015 to 2021, she was the Communications Director of Arter, the contemporary art institution of Vehbi Koç Foundation, covering media, publishing and learning programs.

Currently, she continues her independent practice at the intersection of content production, publishing and sustainability under the umbrella of Mümkün and her academic research at Kadir Has University Women’s Studies PhD Program.
